Meet our Rector

Ven. Oluwafisayo Adebiyi

Venerable Oluwafisayo Adebiyi comes from a rich Anglican heritage rooted in generations of devotion, with a family legacy that includes donating land for their hometown’s first church and producing several priests. Shaped by this foundation, he developed a deep love for the Church and pursued both medicine and theology, uniting compassionate care with pastoral leadership. Ordained in 2012 and 2013, he has served as Rector of Emmanuel Chapel Trinity since December 2015, guiding the church through steady growth in worship, discipleship, family life, and outreach.

He is joyfully married to Omowumi Adebiyi, blessed with five children, and remains committed to helping individuals and families grow in their walk with God.

Revd. Canon Olurotimi Alo​​

Born into devout Anglican family, his faith journey was firmly rooted in the church from childhood. He was confirmed as a communicant on Sept 9, 1983, and became actively involved in Boys’ Brigade, Church Choir, Youth Movement called Followers of the Way, where his passion for serving God was nurtured. In 1988, he publicly reaffirmed his faith at Scripture Pastures International under the leadership of Pastor Olubi Johnson. His zeal for teaching and leadership was evident during his academic years as a Bible study teacher at The Polytechnic Ibadan and later as President of the Anglican Students’ Fellowship at the University of Ilorin (1998/99). He completed his priestly formation at Archbishop Vining Theological Seminary in where he earned a Master of Personnel Psychology.

Revd. Canon Alo married Mrs. Ololade Abiodun Alo. Together, they have four Children. Revd. Canon Olurotimi Alo was ordained to the diaconate on August 7, 2012, and to the priesthood on July 14, 2013. He served in the Diocese of Ogbomoso as Diocesan Communicator from 2005 to 2018, while also ministering in several parishes including St. David’s Cathedral, Ogbomoso. These years shaped his experience in preaching, teaching, administration, missions, discipleship, youth ministry, and pastoral care. He is currently serving as an Assisting Priest and Missioner. In his words “My calling is to reflect God’s love and bring spiritual encouragement to all He entrusts to my care”.

Revd. Canon Jonathan Funso Kolawole​

Born April 20th, 1971, into the family of the late Rev. Canon Michael Dada Kolawole and Mrs. Comfort Kolawole of Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He is the fourth of eight children. He was baptized on July 18, 1971, at Christ Church, Ijero-Ekiti, and confirmed on August 10, 1986, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Ikole-Ekiti. Revd. Canon Kolawole holds a master’s degree in Christian theology (2008) and a bachelor’s degree in Christian religious studies (2002) from Lagos State University, Ojo. He also earned diplomas in Religious Studies and Theology from the Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan, in 1999. His secondary education was completed at Christ School, Ado-Ekiti, in 1993, and his primary education at St. Stephen’s Anglican Primary School, Ayebode-Ekiti, in 1984.

Revd. Canon Funso Kolawole is married to Mrs. Abisoye Kolawole. Together, they are blessed with three sons. He was ordained a Deacon on July 14, 1999, by the Most Rev. Dr. Abiodun Adetiloye, and ordained into the Priesthood on July 2, 2000, by Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter A. Adebiyi. He was preferred as a Canon on April 20, 2013, at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja. He is currently serving as an Assisting Priest and Missioner.

Ven. Oluwafisayo Adebiyi​

Comes from a strong Anglican heritage shaped by generations of devotion to Christ. His family’s commitment to the gospel is well rooted—his grandfather donated the land on which the first church in their hometown was built, and several members of the family have served as priests. This legacy nurtured in him a deep love for the Church and a clear sense of calling. He is trained as a medical doctor and holds a Master’s degree in Theology, bringing together compassionate healing and thoughtful pastoral leadership. His passion is to see people transformed into the image of Christ and to help believers embrace the full dimension of the Christian faith.

Ven. Adebiyi was ordained a Deacon in June 2012 and a Priest in June 2013. He has served as the Rector of Emmanuel Chapel Trinity (ECT) since December 2015, during which time the church has experienced steady growth across the diverse expressions of its ministry—worship, discipleship, family life, and community outreach.
He is joyfully married to Omowumi Adebiyi, and together they are blessed with five children. His desire is to be a faithful voice of God in the midst of His people and to help individuals and families discover a deeper connection with the Lord.
